GrandMaster Lee Kam Wing

Sifu Lee Kam Wing;

I would like to express my gratefulness to my kung fu uncle, Sifu Lee Kam Wing. The first time I met Sifu Lee was in 1998 at a seminar in Texas, where I also met Sifu John Cheng and his kung fu family. I recall how very nice Sifu Lee was to me and still have, to this date, a gold keychain he gave me which bears his logo. I also attended a second seminar of Sifu Lee’s in New York, where I met Sifu Raul Ortiz and his kung fu family. Eventually, I would travel to Hong Kong and train with Sifu Lee every day during my stay.

In 2002, my teacher passed. It was a very low point for me and our kung fu family. Sifu Lee would later come to Chicago and hold a seminar, as well as provide private training for me. During his visit to Chicago for the seminar, he paid his respects to the shrine of Ming Loy and Chiu Chi Man at my school, which meant a lot to me.

Seven years have passed since that day in Texas. I have gone to Hong Kong twice and Sifu Lee has been to Chicago twice as well, so that I can train with him privately. But, the most important aspect to me is the strong connection we have made with each other.
